Project 52 | Week 17 – Weather

This weeks theme was weather.  As you know I am located in the Pacific Northwest so most of our weather is rain.  It is actually pouring down rain as I write this.  But today I ventured out with some other lovely photographers to the tulip festival here in Mount Vernon.  Rain can be beautiful and it’s especially beautiful on tulips!

Make sure to head on over to Liz’s blog  to see what he weather looks like in her neck of the woods!

Beautiful colors and love the raindrops on the tulips! I’d love to see the tulip fields at some point! Did you have fun? Bummer it rained while you were in the fields. Great to see your photos in the circle!!

Perfection. The colors, the droplets, the details… I love it all!

I go through phases where I really miss the weather in the Pacific Northwest. We had a beautiful day here last week, and I told my husband that it was like the best summer day in Portland. I don’t know how I can manage to get homesick for a place that I called home for such a short time.

How fun to have a group close by to go out with. Love the colors here and the rain drops just add another layer of uniqueness.

Baby Finley – Part One | Mount Vernon, WA Newborn Photographer

I love capturing the newness of babies shortly after they’re born.  All their features are so delicate and soft, you can’t help but go “awe.”  This little lady was just gorgeous, which is not surprising since her parents are stunning.  I can’t wait to share more of her, she was such a sweetheart!

March | How I View… Challenge – Happiness

This month I approached this theme by documenting things that we did that brought us happiness.  While some of these things we are able to do on a regular basis, this project really made me realize how blessed we are and how much fun we have!

Happiness is family nights!

Happiness is living where we live, it’s beautiful!  My little lady loves that she has many places to explore and run.

Happiness is getting to play with Mommy’s makeup.  (They grow up too fast!)

Happiness is tea parties with our teddy.

Lastly and most importantly, happiness is being a Mommy!

Now make sure to follow the circle to see some amazing other photographer’s view on happiness!  Up next is Danielle at Danielle Hatcher Photography.

Project 52 | Week 12 – Make Believe

I’ve been wanting to do something like this for a long time now.  I had envisioned it for Adalyn’s first birthday, outside with an amazing set up.  Unfortunately the weather here in Washington has not been willing to let me create this vision.  So I decided to do it inside instead and hopefully this summer I can get out and actually do what I had always hoped.  But for now, I think every little girl needs to have a tea party with her stuff animals.  Adalyn loved the china set I found for her at an antique store and she had loads of fun at the party.

Now head on over to Lisa Tarplee Photography  to see what fun and creative idea she came up with for Make Believe.
